Open Science Network

I noticed that opensciencenetwork.org finally became available so I purchased that domain and set up a Google Apps account for that domain. This Google Apps account allows us to have Google Mail with email addresses within the domain (ex jbest@opensciencenetwork.org). I've also set up Google Analytics to track hits on the OSN site and that should be up and running soon.

We've set up a web site for the network at http://www.opensciencenetwork.net

This site is using Google Apps which includes the ability to make multiple sites, maintain calendars and provides access to Google Docs.

Today we created a new group on WiserEarth.org. This group, OSN Sandbox (http://www.wiserearth.org/group/osnsandbox) is a place we can test out new features and ideas in the WiserEarth platform, particularly for integrating WiserEarth with other outside sites and resources.

Today we acquired the domain name opensciencenetwork.net. We will use this domain name to provide the primary home for Open Science Network including the OSN web site at http://www.opensciencenetwork.net
